We have been commissioned to re-design and re-build the RollStore Limited website consisting of images and specifications for all of RollStore's extensive product range.

Adding a subdomain to a domain on FastHosts Reseller account

We currently host all of our client websites on FastHosts and for a while now, i've been wanting to set up a subdomain to host all of our development work.

Unfortunately the few times I'd briefly tried to do it I'd hit a dead-end as the answer wasn't obvious; the online help was outdated and clicking on any configuration options within each domain failed to give any clue as to how to do it.

The need became more pressing so I investigated further and it turns out that you cannot add a subdomain to a domain, you have to add a subdomain to your account. In essence, it is just like adding a new website to your hosting system.

How to add a subdomain to your domain.

1. Log into FastHosts Control Panel
2. Click on "Add Domain"
3. Click on "Add Subdomain" in the list
4. Enter the subdomain title and click on the domain picker
5. Select your domain
6. Click continue to configure the subdomain.

It makes perfect sense once you forget what you think you know!
